When Job was suffering during his time of great trial, he said, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him...."(Job 13:15). The word "trust" in the Old Testament sometimes speaks of trusting to, sometimes of trusting on, sometimes of trusting in, the Lord, and sometimes simply trusting the Lord. The general idea of this word is to lean our weight on the Lord.

Many years ago an army officer told of being in a terrible storm, and his wife, filled with alarm, cried out, "My dear, how is it possible you can be so calm in such a storm?"

During the beginning of a new year and approaching Valentine’s Day, it seems that our world is out of control. What is the best thing that we can do for this troubled world?
