About the Author

Robert G. Slaton was an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God. He was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, and graduated from Amarillo High in 1953.

Robert and Ann were united in marriage August 10, 1957 at First Assembly of God

(now Evangel Temple) in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Robert served as District Superintendent of the West Texas District from 1989-2010.  During that time he served as a General Presbyter of the Assemblies of God; a member of the Board of Regents of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Waxahachie, Texas); a member of the Board of Directors of the American Indian College (Phoenix, Arizona), and as chairman of the Board of Directors of Pleasant Hills Children's Home (Fairfield, Texas).
